A Bit About Me...

Sophie was born in London during the 1990s and from a very young age she has been interested in the arts. At the age of 7, she was inspired by a Royal Shakespeare Company production of 'Romeo and Juliet' to join her local Youth Theatre group and from there, her love of acting grew. She is a conscientious collaborator and a passionate, hardworking and dedicated storyteller, who seeks to be as truthful as possible within her work.

Sophie trained at Identity School of Acting as part of their semi-professional group, before enrolling at East 15 Acting School. Both courses are made up of rigorous actor training for screen, stage and voice-artist work, all the while preparing in full on how to become a lasting creative professional. She has developed skills in devising, clowning, improvisation, voice-over & narration and has studied in-depth, Stenislavsky, Laben, Meisner and Mamet techniques during her training. You may view Sophie's Voice, Vocal and show reels here and listed acting experience here, whilst her Spotlight profile can be viewed here, or via the icon found at the top and bottom of the page.

During the pandemic, her interest in writing, specifically poetry, also developed. Sophie is now currently working on writing her own collection of poems and collaborative theatre pieces with her fellow East 15 graduates, having successfully graduated in 2022. Here you can find examples of her written work via the 'So To Speak' blog.

Alongside her acting experience, Sophie is a keen singer, having achieved grade 8 singing with merit in classical singing, and model. Please click here to find out more about her singing experience and here for her model portfolio.

Tutoring...

As a side note, Sophie spent her early twenties studying Natural Sciences, specialising in Physics, with the Open University. Whilst her future does lie with the arts, she will always have an appreciation for the Sciences. It has helped shape her understanding of the physical world and even expanded her imagination (which is very important in the Acting world!).

It is for these reasons she is available to tutor both Mathematics and Physics at KS1, KS2, KS3, GCSE, A-level and Diploma levels. Please get in touch via the contact page or use the details below if you wish to further discuss and/or access her tutoring services.
